In our travels across the 3D printing landscape we’ve found that we’ve accumulated quite a lot of “stuff” that isn’t really doing us any good, but could be useful to you! Whether it’s leftover stepper motors, burned out/damaged electronics we don’t have the bandwidth to fix, or overstock of filament the Junkyard is the place to find it.
We’re starting out by helping a filament manufacturer we have close ties with clear out their out-of-spec material. This is material that is transitioning from one color to another, has a bad wind, is slightly out of diameter or ovality tolerances, etc. This stuff (like all junkyard items) are priced to move. There are, however, no guarantees about what you’ll get. You may get lucky and get a full 1kg spool in a solid color with the only thing wrong with it being a wonky wind. Or it could be a half full spool transitioning from natural to blue that has a section that is +0.3mm in diameter. It is a grab bag, and all sales are final.
I can say that most spools are in superb condition. All spools have been kept in a low-humidity environment and are vacuum-sealed in a resealable bag with desiccant before shipping out to you.
As we flesh out the junkyard a bit more we may add items like used/refurbished 3D printers and may even consider selling items on consignment.
One thing to note about the junkyard is that once an item is gone, we are not able to guarantee that we will ever have more stock in the future. Along the same lines, all sales are final. We’re aiming to have this be a net positive on both sides! You’ll get parts/materials/printers at a great price and we get more room on our shelves for new products!
