Jake is traveling this week to Orlando, Florida to attend the “Innovation takes Root: A Collaborative Bio-Polymers Forum for the Global Intro Community”. It is a conference that is hosted by the Minnesota based company: NatureWorks. NatureWorks is the lead provider of PLA resin that is used the production of PLA filament. Our goals for attending this conference are to:
- Learn more about bio-plastics such as PLA.
- Talk with filament producers to understand the process of filament manufacturing as well as develop new types of PLA materials.
- Talk with the resin companies to see where they think the market will go and how Fargo 3D Printing can help.
In the first few moments of registering I looked over the attendance list (upwards of 370 attendees) and Fargo 3D Printing is one of only three 3D printing companies present at this show (Stratasys & MakerBot are the other two).
With an afternoon of 3D printing topics it will be very beneficial and a great show!
